Billy Babbino
DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS
Billy graduated from Florida Christian College with a degree in Family and Youth Ministry and was absolutely certain he would be a youth pastor for life. Then reality hit. Specifically, all-night lock-ins. After surviving one too many, Billy realized God may be calling him elsewhere.
He spent 12 years in church ministry before stepping into the child welfare world, first as an adoption specialist and later joining A Door of Hope in foster care in 2017. While the job titles changed, the calling stayed the same: helping people encounter the outrageous love of God and equipping followers of Jesus to live that love out in meaningful, tangible ways, especially for vulnerable kids and families.
Outside of work, Billy is a devoted New York Mets fan, which is a lifelong exercise in hope and emotional resilience, a professional book buyer who occasionally reads them, and the lone male in a house with four girls. Being a girl dad to three daughters has stretched his heart, strengthened his character, and ensured he is never, under any circumstances, in charge of choosing the music.
Billy and his family attend Restoration Church in Pasco County. He is still driven by the same desire that has shaped his work and life all along: to follow Jesus faithfully, love people well, and keep learning as he goes. Thankfully, life provides plenty of opportunities.
