Kim Mains

INITIAL LICENSING SPECIALIST- HILLSBOROUGH

Kim graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a BA in Elementary Education then married her college sweetheart, John Paul Mains.  For the past 24 years, she has been a stay-at-home mom to their three daughters while also serving in several children’s ministry positions. 

Five and a half years ago, God led Kim to begin serving foster children as a Guardian ad Litem where she truly began to appreciate the need for caring, Christian foster homes.  After volunteering a few times for A Door of Hope, and learning of the mission to provide Christian homes to all foster children, Kim is thrilled to join the A Door of Hope team.

Kim loves to spend time with her family and friends, fishing, scrapbooking, and playing board games.  One of her favorite scripture passages is found in Colossians 3:1-3 which says, “Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand.  Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.  For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.”
