Vanessa Simmons

LICENSING SUPERVISOR- PASCO & PINELLAS

Vanessa graduated from Trinity College of Florida with a BA in counseling in 2011 and came to A Door of Hope as a Licensing Specialist in 2016. After several years in the Licensing Specialist role, Vanessa was promoted to her current position as Licensing Specialist Supervisor. Vanessa worked many years in the child welfare system before joining the team at A Door of Hope. She worked as a case manager in both Hillsborough and Hernando County.

Her life scripture is Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” She and her husband Chris have two sons, Isaiah and Nehemiah.  Her passions include spending time with friends and family. Most weekends she can be found on the baseball field cheering on her boys. Her hobbies are writing, photography, reading, and being a baseball mom.
